Yesterday we had the pleasure of welcoming the students of the Arctic Studies Programme of the University of Lapland at SGO. Above the group photo in front of the 32-m EISCAT VHF radar receiver antenna. The students were very interested in our observatory. They had specifically asked for a presentation on the topic of light in the Arctic and in general, which was at the same time a challenge and lots of fun to prepare. Of course one part of it was an introduction to the science of the Northern Lights.
